Boone Independent Restaurants
The best source for Boone restaurants news, listings, and events. Boone Independent Restaurants is a 501c6 non-profit organization founded by restaurant owners from the High Country. The association aims to foster a progressive community of Boone restaurant operators. We work together to make sure the independent dining scene in the High Country is first class.
Founded June 2011 and Incorporated as a non-profit 501c6 organization in November of 2011. A group of concerned restaurateurs gathered at Casa Rustica to discuss the influx of chain restaurants to the area. Owners from Pepper’s, Casa Rustica, Makoto’s, Red Onion/ Tapp Room, Town Tavern, and much more were at the original meeting. We decided that to remain competitive with huge operating budgets of the national chains; Each restaurant would combine resources as well as tax-deductible donations from other businesses and individuals and use them in many different ways. Boone Independent Restaurants uses the combined resources to maintain effective marketing and educate member business owners on industry trends and other industry specific information.
